How to shop Online

How do I register for an online shopping account
To register for an online shopping account go to eastgate.megapaints.co.za and click on “Login/ My Account”. Proceed to select create an account and fill in your personal details. Please note that your password should be at least 8 characters long.

How do I change my password?
To change your online shopping profile password click on the ‘My account’ link. Click on account details and a new page will open where you can select change password, and enter the new password and confirm it. Please note that your password should be at least 8 characters long. An example is Password123.

Why don’t you have certain products online?
Not all products are listed for online, but you can give us the name of the product you are looking to purchase. The Online Store will check if it is out of stock or not listed for online. If it is not listed for online we will check if we can have it available online.

Can I place an order telephonically?
You will not be able to place your order telephonically. To make your online shopping experience easier we suggest you create a shopping profile. To do this, go to eastgate.megapaints.co.za and at the top of the home page click on Login/ My Account. You will then need to complete a few steps and you will have your own online shopping profile.

Online Delivery

What is my waybill no?
You will receive your waybill number and a tracking link via SMS or email once the fulfilment centre hands your order over to our courier partners.

What is the online delivery time when placing an order?
The delivery time is between 7 to 10 working days. We reserve the right to change our lead times over high volume periods such as Black Friday and Christmas week to 4-10 working days.

How can I check the status of my online order?
Log into your shopping profile and go to the order status link or use the following link: https://eastgate.megapaints.co.za/my-account/orders/. This will allow you to view the status of your latest order.

The wrong item was delivered, how do I exchange it?
If the product is still not opened you can take it back to Mega Paints & Hardware Eastgate, for an exchange or a refund. We can arrange for the store to come collect it and deliver the correct product to you.

How do I change my shipping address?
To change your shipping address, click on the account page. From here you must click on the address book link and you can change your address.

I forgot to add few items to my delivery order, is it possible to add them?
You cannot add items to an order that have been processed already. However, you can place another order as click and collect where you will collect your order. Send us your order number when you are done. Both orders will be packed and delivered as one order.

Online Payments

Can I pay for my order in-store instead of paying for it online?
Online orders are handled separately from in-store purchases. In order to secure your order, online orders can only be purchased and paid for online.

I have a Mega Paints & Hardware Gift Card. Can I use it to pay for online purchases?
Unfortunately, Mega Paints & Hardware Eastgate cannot accept Gift Cards or store credit. Payment can be made with Visa, MasterCard credit card via our secure PAYGATE online payment platform.

What methods of payment are available?
Online purchases can be made with Visa, MasterCard credit card. Debit cards will not work, but a Visa Debit Card will.

How do I know that my online order is secure?
Every order is securely processed according to industry-standard SSL Web encryption, in compliance with the International Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

Returns & Refunds

Terms of the return policy
The Returns Policy forms part of the Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale and includes the Mega Paints & Hardware Eastgate general in store returns and refunds policies. You have a period of three (3) months to return an article.
Items must be returned in its packing of origin, along with all the accessories and notes, being in good condition, and accompanied in their invoice. Products “made to measure” will not be taken back.

How do I return a product I purchased online or in-store?
We will gladly accept any unused regularly stocked merchandise for refund or exchange within 30 days of purchase. Simply return the complete product to us in its clean original packaging accompanied by the original bill of sale. All merchandise is subject to the manufacturer’s warranty & will be repaired or replaced as per the manufacturer’s directions. We regret that cut materials and special-order merchandise are not returnable. Online order returns must be returned to the local store where you picked up your order. Online order returns will be processed online and the funds will be returned to your credit card once the bank processes the return. You will receive an email confirming the return.

Return by courier
To return an item by mail or a carrier, we invite you to contact us so that Customer Service can arrange the return.
In the case of an article that is heavy and bulky, once the application has been registered by Customer Service, you are contacted within a period of three (3) working days to arrange a meeting with the courier in charge to get the package. An email is sent to you to confirm receipt of the item returned by our services.

Delivery, and In-Store Collections

When can I collect my order? How will I know it’s ready?
When your order is ready, you will receive an email with the subject line: “Your order is ready for collection”. Please wait for that email before arriving in-store to collect your purchase.

Can I have the goods delivered to my house?
We don’t offer courier-to-home through our eCommerce site. You may be able to arrange delivery through your store. Contact your local Store Owner for more detail
